St. Vincent and the Grenadines is seeking stronger international partnerships to advance investment in sectors including tourism, renewable energy, agriculture and digital transformation.

Addressing the Family Offices for Sustainable Development Summit at United Nations Headquarters on September 23, Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday urged governments, private investors and development institutions to work together on projects that can deliver practical economic benefits.

He identified agro-processing, the blue economy, entrepreneurship and resilient infrastructure among the country’s development priorities. He also stressed that public funding alone cannot meet the scale of investment required, particularly as natural disasters place pressure on national resources.

Friday called for financing arrangements that help reduce investment risks, alongside technical assistance and closer regional cooperation.

The address outlined an investment agenda rather than announcing completed deals, with the Government seeking to translate international engagement into jobs, stronger infrastructure and opportunities for Vincentians.
