St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded 11,862 visitor arrivals in August 2026, an increase of 13.2% compared with the same month last year.

Figures published in a tourism press release show that August stay-over arrivals reached 9,712, up 11.5%. Yacht arrivals increased by 20.3% to 2,115, while no cruise calls were recorded during the month.

Stay-over tourism also strengthened across the first eight months of the year. From January to August, SVG welcomed 86,647 stay-over visitors, an 8.4% increase over the corresponding period in 2025.

The broader picture was more mixed. Total visitor arrivals across all categories reached 276,088 for January–August, approximately 0.3% below the previous year. The release attributed the difference largely to cruise scheduling.

The United States remained the largest source market for August stay-over visitors.

For accommodation providers, tour operators, restaurants and marine businesses, the growth in stay-over and yacht arrivals points to opportunities to serve visitors through locally delivered experiences.
